Ralph & Albertine Votapek

The Votapeks will perform works for piano four-hands and works for two pianos. Highlights will be the Schubert Fantasy in F Minor and Six Tangos by Astor Piazzolla. This is the dedication concert for our new piano, a fully restored 1911 Steinway. We are thrilled to have the Votapeks play the debut of this beautiful instrument in Sala Koncertowa.
Ralph Votapek was the winner of the first Van Cliburn Piano Competition and has gone on to make numerous acclaimed appearances at Carnegie Hall and with major orchestras throughout the country. His brilliant and poetic interpretations have been heard around the world in an international performing and recording career spanning over five decades.
Albertine Votapek gave her debut to critical acclaim at New York Town Hall and won the Concert Artist Guild Award.

Two youthful masterpieces by giants of the classical music world: the powerful Brahms Piano Quartet in G minor with prizewinning pianist Laura Melton, and an all-star ensemble of winds and strings performing Beethoven’s effervescent Septet, Op. 20.

The Lange Choral Ensemble

The Lange Ensemble, a beloved staple of the Lansing cultural scene for over 30 years, will present a program of masterpieces spanning the centuries of sacred choral music from Gregorian chant, Palestrina and Haydn, to music for the church by living composers.
This concert will take place in Historic Holy Rosary Church.
